Whether through the camera lens or sketching and painting, documenting the world around me through framed views has always not only sharpened my sense of observation, but also deepened my appreciation for the moments I was experiencing. That documentation also allows for a continued appreciation of that captured moment for years to come.
This collection of photographs features shots from France, Denmark, Italy, Estonian and New York. Although taken over a period of several years, in various locales and of varied subject matter, there is a common thread of patterns within architectural elements and of play between light and shadow that unite the works.

I have enjoyed calling Seattle, and most recently the Richmond Beach area, home for over a decade after moving here from New Jersey. Along with my Estonian heritage creating European ties, both academic studies and professional work in Architecture and design brought me to the locations featured in the series of photographs. Currently developing my creative practice, I have worked professionally in the fields of Architecture and Architectural Lighting. Along with photography, I am exploring the mediums of watercolor, drawing and papercutting—sometimes individually and sometimes combined and often inspired by nature.
